Klaus Richter, born and raised in Berlin (Germany), studied violoncello. He has constantly been touring with various symphony orchestras and chamber music groups throughout Europe, South America, Asia and Northern Africa.
Since 1991, Klaus has also been the director of several chamber music groups. From 1997 to 2000, he was founder and artistic director of chamber music festivals in several German states. Klaus´ agency is presenting several symphony and chamber orchestras, conductors and soloists in and outside Germany, including several well-known Asian orchestras in the Berlin Philharmonic Hall.
Klaus is also the founder and artistic director of „Music Academy Kröchlendorff“, a project under the patronage of Daniel Barenboim (since 1999). Recently, in January 2009, he additionally became artistic director of the „Berlin Residence Concertos“.
