FRANK ZICHNER
Frank-Immo Zichner was born in 1962. At the age of 6 he began taking piano lessons, going to study at a special Music School. During this time he performed for the first time on television, and made his debut with the "Berliner Sinfonie Orchester" when he was only twelve years old. Later he took master classes with Dieter Zechlin in Berlin and master courses with Menahem Pressler, Jacob Lateiner and György Kurtág. In 1986 Zichner was appointed House Pianist at the famous Schauspielhaus in Berlin. Frank-Immo Zichner has won many competitions and prizes, including the 1985 Robert Schumann Competition in Germany, and with his trio, the 1986 Chamber Music Competition in Colmar, France.
He has also taken part in a number of international festivals, such as the Berliner Festtage, Biennale Berlin, Banff (Canada), Bad Kissinger Musiksommer and the Moscow Autumn. Frank-Immo Zichner has given concerts throughout Europe, Scandinavia, Central and South America. He has also performed for many of Europe's major radio and television stations. Frank-Immo Zichner has also peformend with Artist like Tatjana Masurenko, Viola, Gert von Bülow, Cello, the Vogler-Quartet and the Conducters Marek Janowski and Michail Jurowski.
