ATILLA ALDEMIR
Born 1975 in Istanbul, Turkey. Began to study violin with Prof. Çigdem Yonat-Iyicil at Mimar Sinan University State Conservatory. Started his post-graduate studies with Prof. Lukas David at Detmold Hochschule für Musik in 1994 and graduated with “Künstlerische Reifeprüfung” Diploma in 1999. Began studies for the “Konzertexamen” (equivalent to honours soloist diploma) at Folkwang Hochschule Essen with Prof. Mintcho Mintchev and graduated with “honour degree” in 2002. Studied at master classes from Tibor Varga, Ida Haendel, Shlomo Mintz, Christoph Poppen. Since this time he has been receiving significant impulses for his artistic development from Barbara Gorzynska in Vienna.
Awarded first prizes in competitions at Folkwang Competition Essen 2002 and International Violin Competition Istanbul 2000, and second prize in Violin Competition of Turkish Ministry of Culture, Ankara 1998, Laureate of International Violin Competition Vaclav Hulm, Zagreb 2005, International Violin Competition “Premio Rodolfo Lipizer” 2006 with the special prize “The passion for music, strong artistic temperament”.
Received scholarships from Konrad Adenauer Foundation, Germany, Apple Hill Chamber Music School, USA, and Kulturförderpreis der Westfaelischen Wirtschaft, Germany. Gave concerts in many European countries, the USA, Egypt and Israel, played in concert halls such as Berliner Philharmonie, Konzerthaus Wien in Vienna, Gürzenichsaal Köln in Cologne, Presidential Concert Hall Ankara, with the Symphony Orchestra Berlin, Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, State Orchestra of Aserbaidschan, Ankara and Istanbul Symphony Orchestras, Philharmonia Wien Vienna, Klassische Philharmonie Bonn, Detmold Chamber Orchestra, with chamber music partners Itamar Golan, Marcio Carneiro, Kerstin Feltz, etc. He has been playing regularly with Symphony Orchestra Berlin in Berliner Philharmonie concert hall since 2001.
He has recorded CDs for Hochschule für Musik Detmold “Detmolder Preisträger vorgestellt” in 2001 and for Dreyer&Gaido Music Production “The Contemporary Voice Of Turkish Music” (Berlin) in 2003.
Atilla Aldemir plays the violin "J. B. Vuillaume" from the year 1840, which was kindly financed for him by the Circle of Internationally Operating Turkish Businessmen.
